![]() ![]() The Arno Atoll encloses three lagoons: two "pinched lagoons" in the northeast and northwest, and a main lagoon of nearly 340 square kilometers. Arno’s total land area is just 13 square kilometers. This image was acquired by the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) on July 25, 2002. It is centered near 7.1° North, 171° East, and covers 41 by 45.3 km (25 by 28 miles). |
